Originally from Belize where I trained and worked as a nurse. I live in the US where I work as a Certified Medical Lab Tech. I’ve spent all my adult life living in America, but enjoy giving back to my country. I founded a nonprofit, where I donate point of care instruments and teach public health nurses how to use them
Team Help is very excited for the opportunity to work with and help the citizens of Belize.
There are several ways that Team Help feels that it can contribute to the citizens and country of Belize. First and foremost is training and education, specializing in emergency pre-hospital care and trauma. This mission is what we were founded on.
First on our list is to become a licensed NGO in Belize.
Other areas of interest are, but not limited to:
Belize is a nation on the eastern coast of Central America, with Caribbean Sea shorelines to the east and Guatemala to the west. Offshore, the massive Belize Barrier Reef, dotted with hundreds of low-lying islands called cayes, hosts rich marine life. Belize’s jungle areas are home to Mayan ruins like Caracol, renowned for its towering pyramid; lagoon-side Lamanai; and Altun Ha, just outside Belize City.
Belmopan is the capital city of Belize. Its population in 2010 was 16,451. In addition to being the smallest capital city in the continental Americas by population, Belmopan is the third-largest settlement in Belize, behind Belize City and San Ignacio.
